ABOUT US

From first starting out carp and specimen fishing, pellets have always been part of my armoury for a lot of species.

From grinding pellet down, adding egg and whatever fish oils I could get my hands on for added attraction, to making pellet paste for float fishing and ledgering.

To later years using what I called “Babies fists” ( pron “Babbies fist) for baiting, this is where I would put 4mm and 6mm pellets that are high in oil into a bait bucket, adding to it hemp seed, sweet corn, chopped boilie and whatever oils we could use at the time, scolding them in hot kettle water for a short period, cooling them until you can ball them up into “babies fist” sized balls. I would then fire 5-10 fists around each rod with a catapult, and fishing single hook baits amongst them. These are great for fishing deeper water and silty lakes.

Over the years the “babies fist “ method became bigger by adding more additives, liquids and oils with the new addition of Vitalin, then leaving them on bait bucket lids to crust in the sun to give extra range, these could not only be catapulted but could also be used in a casting pouch for up to 100 yards. This was something I found to be incredibly effective and a big edge in my fishing at certain times of the year.

It was around this time I adapted my approach with the use of solid PVA bags, which were filled with different types of pellets, In different sizes, with different breakdown times. This being great for what I used to call single trap fishing. Additions to this method were the use of high quality powders and better quality oils to gain attraction around the hook bait. This being great for fishing small holes in the weed of weedy lakes and shallows in the spring near the reeds.

I am still using these methods today 33 years on.

The quality of pellets are better than ever, with so much variety for us to use to give edge to our fishing.

The use of pellet in more modern tactics, for loose feed for smaller fish with added liquids and attraction to fishing big rivers for other species, using as a carpet of feed with different sized pellets.

Using pellet hook baits that have been infused with a process of powders, liquids, hydro’s and oils. For using as a spod mix with the addition of infused pellets, recipe’s I have created along the way that include the addition of hemp, sweet corn, maize, chopped tiger nuts, whole, crumbed and broken boilies. The infused pellets are exceptional for baiting spots as they are cost effective, contain lots of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, high in protein, fibre, with the inclusion of soluble liquids and highly attractive powders. You could create your own recipes to personalise your own pellet mixes, “babies fists”, solid PVA bags, infused pellets for baiting campaigns to personalise them for yourselves alongside your boilies.

The pellets break down which carp find very palatable  but also un eaten pellets taint the sediment and sand on the bottom to keep the carp coming back for longer periods of time to grub around, which is excellent in baiting campaigns alongside high quality boilies.

Throughout my whole fishing giving them the highest quality foods with all the additions of added vitamins, minerals, additives and salts has always let me reap the rewards.
